Some ideas in the world of surfing are nuts, some daring, some inspirational, but this one is just too damn cool!

The video above is from a 24hr surfing session in Mundaka, Spain. When people say I'm just heading out for a bit of light surfing, this is not usually the thing that comes to mind!

3 Optical Illusion Stereograms (Photos)

When looking through a few photography techniques, I stumbled upon Stereograms. This process involved taking 2 practically identical photos, but when taking the second, offset the camera by an inch or so horizontally. Then, open both the photos into a program like Photoshop and place them side by side, the one taken from the right on the left side of the document.

Now, the technique used to view them in a 3D-like way is just simply by crossing your eyes until a third image appears in the middle, much like the "Magic Eye" effect, and hey presto!

Wonderwall - Web Navigation at it's best!

Over at Wonderwall Inc is one of the finest uses of animated navigation I've seen, pulled of in a very simple and effective way. They combine minimalistic typography with a fluid, zoom-styled interface on the first layer, then smoothly moving through to a colourful and unique slideshow covering a multitude of projects for the second. Just proves that Flash still has a big part to play within the realm of web design, particularly with a portfolio style site.
